Glassfish: Way too complicated for Me
Today I had a look if I could deploy our JBI components on another JBI compatible server than ServiceMix. Back from my days at SeeBeyond I knew that Glassfish has some quirks but today I got confirmed again that I don't want to use Glassfish except a customer asks for. I know that my knowledge of JBoss give me an advantage on how to install, start and deploy applications on JBoss but if I am struggling for hours just to access an object from Glassfish' naming server then I don't want to imagine what other people do.
Even in JBoss retrieving objects from a JNDI server on a remote JV keep on reading here

Thanks for the JNDI browser feedback. Have you looked at the this for remote JNDI lookups?
I'll check on the NetBeans dependency. This obviously doesn't sound right.
Sorry to hear you were having issues. Did you post your questions to the GlassFish mail aliases? Many extremely helpful engineers hang out there.

Hi Andy. Don't give up on GlassFish yet. I think the documentation is quite reasonable, but, you are the customer - regardless of whether the info is there (we will check), if you can't find it, that does not help you.
We have been very focused on getting GFv2 out; now that that is almost done there are a few extra cycles. I can get you a contact; can you help us improve the documentation?
