Company Profile

Madplanet.com is convinced that enterprise applications can be built with open-source software and that commerical software should only be considered when important requirements demand it. Today projects are available to build and manage web sites, to handle incidents, to track projects, to implement business rules and to build complete business applications. The key for a successful project is to select the best projects and then gain and maintain the knowledge to integrate them together.

MAD plaNET focus it's business onto the integration of these software components to build up the customer's business application. Quite often the lack of documentation is the biggest hurdle for company's to use open-source software and we can provide you with that knowledge and help you select, install, configure and integrate these open-source projects and to make them interact with their existing IT environment.

History

MAD plaNET started on summer night in Switzerland where Manuela and Andy Schaefer sat down with Daniel to hash out a name for our new company. After some Grappas we finally aggreed to use your first name initials forming MAD as well as use the word "planet" as a hint to the world wide web which should become our main business focus. This led to name "MAD plaNET". So we could found the company and go to business.

Nevertheless when Manuela and Andy left Switzerland and moved to Los Angeles we shut down the company and just kept the web site alive. Finally at the end of August Andy decided to become an interpendent contractor and so the company was reborn now named Madplanet.com Inc.
